My mission is to Educate, Empower and Support women just like you to take back control of your own health using nutrition and lifestyle strategies that empower you to reach your health goals.
My own health journey started when I was in my mid 40s, my energy was at an all-time low, I wasn't sleeping, waking at 3 am with nights sweats, resulting in a fuzzy head and low mood. I was putting weight on around the middle and developed a sweet tooth for first time in my life! I also started having digestive problems and could no longer tolerate some of the foods that I loved.
As a busy single working mum I was desperately trying to find a way to improve my energy and my research led me down many rabbit holes and dead ends until I discovered Nutrition and Lifestyle Medicine.
I had studied biology at University and worked in Scientific Research for many years, but when I discovered the power of food and how nutrients contain information and can interact with our genes, I was totally blown away. That's when I decided to make a complete career and life change and spent the next 4 years re-training as a Nutritional Therapist.
I had always been interested in health, was working in luxury health spas as a therapist, and I thought my diet was good, but I soon realised that I had been following all the wrong advice.
By making some specific dietary and lifestyle changes, my energy and sleep improved, I could think clearly again and my mood lifted. This was the start of my health journey and life transformation. I am now in my late-50s and feel better than ever.
I love what I do and truly believe that nutrition is the foundation for both a healthy body and a healthy mind.
